HOW IT WORKS

From loaded thread to shareable image.

No stitching, no manual redaction, no mystery about where the conversation came from.

01

Choose the conversation

Pick the original post and any loaded comments. Parent replies are added automatically to preserve context.

02

Shape the final image

Preview light or dark mode, keep attribution, or deliberately anonymize author names before export.

03

Download one PNG

Threadshot creates one high-resolution image on your device and keeps the subreddit and source URL visible.

BUILT FOR TRUSTWORTHY SHARING

Designed to keep context, not strip it away.

Reply chains stay readable

Thread depth, OP labels, post metadata, and selected parent replies remain visible in the exported layout.

Light and dark themes

Use the style that fits where you plan to share.

A1

Deliberate anonymization

Replace author names with stable Anonymous labels while keeping source context.

Local by design

Parsing, layout, and PNG generation happen in the active tab. Thread content is never sent to us.

PRIVACY, IN PLAIN LANGUAGE

Your thread never becomes our data.

Threadshot only runs after you click its icon on a supported Reddit post. It reads already-loaded page content long enough to build the image you requested.

GOOD TO KNOW

Know what to expect before you export.

Which pages are supported?

Public posts on the current desktop experience at www.reddit.com. Threadshot works with content already loaded in the page.

Does it load “more replies”?

No. Load the comments you need on Reddit first, then open Threadshot. It does not call the Reddit API or expand hidden branches.

What is not supported?

Video, galleries, polls, GIFs, third-party embeds, and special restricted-community flows are not currently supported.

Why is there a height limit?

Images above 28,000px can be unreliable across devices. Threadshot stops clearly instead of silently cropping or reducing quality.
